What is Strong Beers?

Strong Beers is a festival dedicated to winter craft beers - strong, full-bodied and complex beers, perfect for this time of year. It brings together over 60 different beers from 18 national and international brands.
Is the festival for all ages?

Yes! The festival is for all ages. Non-alcoholic options are available.
What type of beers will I find?
+
You will find beers with strong body and flavor characteristics, including Imperial Stouts, Barley Wines, Strong Ales, among other styles. We also have lighter beers and non-alcoholic options for those who prefer.
How do beer prices work?

You can choose between full glass, half glass, or tasting packs. Prices vary according to the beer and are set by the producers.

Entry & Services
What is the entry price?

Entry costs 4€ and includes the festival glass. Participation in all program activities (music, stand-up, food pairings, etc.) is free.
Can I reuse my glass from previous editions?
+
Yes! If you already have the Strong Beers or Brew! Coimbra glass from previous editions, you can reuse it (€1 discount).
Do I need to buy tickets in advance?

No advance tickets needed. Entry is free upon payment of 4€ at the entrance to purchase the festival glass (or with €1 discount if you reuse your glass).
Is food available at the festival?

Yes! The festival takes place at Mercado Municipal D. Pedro V, which has several food options. We will also have food pairings during the program.
Getting There
Is parking available?

Mercado Municipal D. Pedro V has its own parking (surface and underground). There are also parking lots nearby. We recommend using public transport.
Can I bring my dog?

Due to market rules, dogs are not allowed at the festival venue (exception: assistance dogs).
